Red Clay is situated in the heart of the Mudgee Valley in Central Western NSW.

This is an area known for growing premium quality grapes in pockets of rich red clay soil.



The Vineyard was first planted in 1988 and the Winery established in 1996.

Our award winning Reds are all handcrafted from handpicked premium grapes and pressed in the traditional style Basket Press on the Estate.
The Winery is constructed from handmade Adobe bricks using the same rich soil in which the vineyard has been planted.

Chosen for its thermal qualities, it provides constant cool temperatures, ideal for storing bottled wine.

Wines are available at the Cellar Door, mail order or email.

Location
Travelling by car from Sydney, head north west over the Blue Mountains, through Lithgow or Katoomba and beyond. Mudgee is 3.5 hrs from Sydney by car, 45 minutes by air or you can take a leisurely trip by rail / coach.

Red Clay Estate is situated north of the Mudgee township.  From the Mudgee town clock, travel north (past the Lawson Park Hotel) onto the Ulan / Cassilis Road and turn left onto Henry Lawson Drive for approximately 2.7 kms, where you will find us on your left hand side.
